A lack of sleep can impact a child’s health and academic performance, so it’s important to help them develop good sleeping habits. Dr. Petrina Wong, Consultant Paediatrician (Respiratory & Sleep), has reported a 20 percent increase in sleep issues among her patients. These problems primarily involve bedtime delays due to screen time and allergies caused by house dust mites, which lead to conditions like allergic rhinitis that disrupt sleep. The increase is attributed to more people staying home and greater exposure to household allergens.
