Research indicates that inhaling fresh, unpolluted air significantly benefits the respiratory system, especially for children. Poor air quality in enclosed spaces elevates the risk of airborne infectious diseases like bronchitis and pneumonia and can lead to both short and long-term health issues such as eye, nose, and throat irritation, as well as cardiac and respiratory diseases like asthma. During an intimate seminar on 'Children’s Respiratory Health,' Dr Petrina Wong, Consultant Paediatrician, shared valuable advice on how parents can proactively safeguard their child's respiratory health and minimize the risk of severe respiratory conditions.
